Review of 'La guerra más fría' on 'Goodreads'

I wasn't sure how much I liked Bitter Seeds and put off reading The Coldest War for a long time.

As I expected the second installment in the Milkweed trilogy is an alternate history of the cold war.

To my surprise the second book is better than the first.

We are trapped in Gretel's narrative together with our heroes.
We see them suffer and toil as she manipulates their story to fit her desired time-line.
We hold our breath as slowly her plan is finally revealed to them and to us simultaneously.
