Review of 'Fire and Blood' on 'Goodreads'

I was really happy hearing about a new book being released in the whole Westeros universe. Unfortunately reading it was a pain and I wish I never did buy it…
It is definitely read like a history book and even though it's somehow fascinating what George R R Martin came up with, I'm sorry to say it's really boring to read. I'm definitely not looking forward to the second part of this Targaryen history.
I was also quite disappointed by the illustrations. They are magnificently made and it's impressive how realistic they are drawn, but they more than often did not reflect how I pictured the people depicted.
