Definitely not what I expected, but I still enjoyed exploring the family dynamics and slowly piecing everyone's history together. If you're looking for a twisty thriller or an evil Mother-in-Law (or, perhaps, scheming Daughter-in-Law) to hate, you'll be disappointed.
I did bust out laughing at the chapter where Diana is late visiting Lucy and Archie in the hospital because one of her clients went into labor unexpectedly. Diana helps a 22 year old refugee give birth at home with no help and still rushes to the hospital after, covered in blood...only to have her family act like she's a selfish monster. Jeez!
