Whew, if you want a thriller that slams on the gas and doesn't let up then this is the book for you

2024 Edit: While I enjoyed this book, looking at it within the context of Hoover's other works soured it. It's a good thriller but still has the "Hooverisms" you might expect.

I couldn't put this one down. Taylor Jenkins Reid knows how to write compelling characters and I loved getting to know all the Rivas.

Edit: Also, I love that Mick isn't forgiven in the end. It's so different than other family dramas where re-integrating the toxic person into the family is the "happy ending."

This was not what I expected from Liane Moriarty, but it was a fun ride. I thought it was easy to follow the characters, which is hard to do when there are this many. I wouldn't describe this as a thriller, per se, but it was a thrilling read.

Appalachian horror, heavy metal, well written women, Satanic forces, and a road trip. What more could you want in a book? Grady's The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires was my favorite book last year, and this is a contender for this year's favorite.

I'm a huge fan of this series and this entry delivered! The small moments between Charlie and the other characters are so sweet without being corny.

Gripes: Chapter where he literally keeps falling asleep in between phone calls (I know he likes to doze but come on), some of the plot was left hanging at the end
