nanopas reviewed Feminists Don't Wear Pink by Scarlett Curtis
What and why are these essays?

I was quite excited to finally be reading a book on feminism. But this was so disappointing. From Saoirse Ronan's instagram caption-y description of feminism to an A-to-Z glossary of weird imaginary scenarios of kidnapping, none of it made sense. Sure, a few essays or paragraphs here and there could serve as a nice and gentle induction into feminism, but most of it is vapid and reads like it was copied off of social media.
