What a beautifully written, dark and honestly sickening fever dream. There have been times when I would have absolutely loved it but now it was a struggle to get through despite the stunning prose. Definitely a book that has a lot to reveal when taking a closer look, I just don’t think I have the stomach for it.
It’s yet another case of “It’s not you, it’s me” - I’m just bad at picking my reads this year
