I have to say I really enjoyed this book. It's so different than 99% of the MM romance books I read. The characters are distinct and real. The development of their relationship, as well as their relationship with supporting characters was real and beautiful. I learned a hell of a lot about NASA. Which even though it's not even in my top 100 interests list was still fascinating. Nor is the story near as fluffy as the cover might lead you to believe. I definitely recommend this book.
The only thing to be aware of going in is the lack of heat. My one disappointment. Obviously, they're not getting it on while one is in space. When Curt returns though, we get the one full sex scene. (non penetrative) After that there's almost nothing. Not only am I disappointed, because I do like heat in my romances, but because it was the one part of the story that seemed unrealistic to me. (Though to be fair, I know shit all about space travel so that may have been unrealistic, but I loved it!) Two people who are in love finally get together and then they both come to the conclusion that since they're together now they have no urgency to be sexual. The author does almost toss a bone at the end, but it ends up ftb. Honestly, it was just cruel teasing at that point.
That aside though, honestly such a beautiful love story. My heart was very happy.
