Review of 'Notebook' on 'Goodreads'

I found this to be a solid, enjoyable story.

Annie's world changes in a flash, finding herself in a struggle for survival in a new world, all the while the while she is counting what few comforts she has from home.

Annie confuses me. She swings back and forth between trusting and not trusting a character in the book. At the end, I'm not certain her stance on one of the secondary characters, and her apparent feelings leave me confused. I suspect that due to her feelings at the end, that the secondary character will have a strong influence in the next book.

As for Hak & Annie, there are several questions that are left unresolved at the end of this book, and some what I expect to be foreshadowing future events. Unfortunately that is conjecture at this point.

While I found the pacing to be slow near the beginning …
