Review of 'The Museum of Extraordinary Things' on 'Goodreads'

I liked the set-up of this book - contrasting tales of a young woman raised as part of a "freak show" on Coney Island and a young Jewish man who turned his back on his faith and his father - but found myself waiting for the story to start... even after it clearly had. I finished the book because I wanted to see how their stories would ultimately tie together, though the action along the way seemed insufficient to actually drive story.
I wouldn't recommend this to other people because although the curiosity of the set-up is rewarding, I don't think the book is satisfying enough for the investment of time.
