This... should have been better? There's a really cool setting here, with an interesting main goal and interesting characters. And instead of following that the whole thing is blown to hell and we end up with typical family drama where everyone kinda sucks in different ways. Definitely not enough of those around nowadays!
Like, I was legitimately hooked at the start of the first issue and it had lost me by the end of that issue. There were some cool moments towards the end of this volume and then they finished things in a way that means I have little hope for that cool stuff being the norm.
So, yeah, kinda disappointed by this one. Just a series of self-sabotaging plot developments with a few glimpses of something good underneath.
