At the side of the central subjects, I identified so much with Brittney's realisation of and being reconciled to her interpersonal skills and social aura.
"So what if it's true that Black women are mad as hell? They have the right to be. In the Black feminist tradition of Audre Lorde, Brittney Cooper reminds us [in this memoir] that anger is a powerful source of energy that can give us the strength to keep on fighting"--Dust jacket flap.

So good. Putting on my list of books to re-read. This has been a really good, so very different, pairing with How To Be An Antiracist.
I don't agree with the views on religion in this book, but this didn't distract me from her mountain of insights and great messages here.
