I guess I misinterpreted the title, for me the last weeks of the war were....the last weeks of the war. In fact the book very quickly gets to the dropping of the atomic bombs and the surrender, and most of the book is about what happened next.... interesting to see the methods for ensuring things were sorted and the rapid changes needed in operational methods and mindsets. Easy to follow and pretty detailed, but not what I was expecting.
