'The Happiness Hypothesis' exposes traditional wisdom to the scrutiny of modern science, delivering startling insights. This work helps readers learn that virtue is often not its own reward, why extroverts really are happier than introverts, and why conscious thought is not as important as we might like to think.

Review of 'The happiness hypothesis' on 'Goodreads'

Some people really mark this book down. I can see why. The first 40% was tremendous but then I felt it lost its way and got very bogged down, often in things of little interest to me. Having said that it’s worth the read and indeed I plan to re-read it later to pick up threads again. The elephant and rider central metaphor was really helpful to me.
