What's good about this book? Nice period flavour and could have been a great first part of a series.
What's not good - some of the plot twists are telegraphed well in advance, some of the action is pretty unbelievable, not sure I like the nod to the American market of the Lord as a copper routine - its been done before. Is it a crime novel or a girly romance??? Not for me. Had potential, a shame.
