Lou Ford is the deputy sheriff of a small town in Texas. The worst thing most people can say against him is that he's a little slow and a little boring. But, then, most people don't know about the sickness--the sickness that almost got Lou put away when he was younger. The sickness that is about to surface again.

Review of 'The Killer Inside Me' on 'Goodreads'

This is one of those books that is supposed to be shocking, even the movie was supposed to be messed up, but I found it to be quite a tame book, there is much more shocking stuff out there. Still though I did enjoy this, at times it was pretty on-the-edge of the seat stuff. The killer is pretty dim and reading him as he gets away with stuff is fun.

This was the first book of Jim Thompson I have read, and he has many, I will be definitely checking out more of his work.
