I thought this book was really interesting and entertaining as Daniel seeks a new job and gets an invitation to this old manor with very clear rules. He starts seeing things and definitely does not abide by the rules, and gets swayed one way and another as to what is going on. His naivety gets his cousin Kyle to follow him to the manor where he is expecting to find buckets of gold, as Daniel had given to him to pay advance for rent, and wreaks havoc. I cannot believe anyone to be as naïve as Daniel was, especially with the crap Kyle kept on telling him and manipulating him.
Quite a dramatic finale before an expected satisfying conclusion to the book.
