I loved Hailey's other works because of his attention to detail. This work is a disastrous fail in that respect. He claims karate black belts must register their hands; they do not. He references a gun registry in Miami; it is a felony in Florida to create such a registry. He states a Glock pistol uses a clip; it uses a magazine. He very repugnantly attacks the Catholic Church and faith-based organizations. Most lethally, his plot is trite and weak.

I am not sure what I expected but definitely not a novel written by Chase.
I mean after the intrinsic fabrics of the hotel industry in "Hotel" I was expected the machinery behind law enforcement described but... it wasn't, not the way you expected Hailey to write about it.
It is a detective story, a thriller with Miami vibe but... there is not much Hailey in there.

Ain't my cup of tea, I was forcing myself to read farther (never happened to me with other books by AH).
