Review of 'Under the Cold Bright Lights' on 'LibraryThing'
A likeable bloke who has returned to police work after retiring for a while investigates a newly-discovered body under a concrete slab and ends up on tenterhooks after making a serious mistake that puts him on the other side of the law. As usual, the storytelling is absorbing, the characters are real, and it's all very Australian. If this is first of a series, count me in.
