As good as the first one, "Silver in the Road"!
I'd think of these as alternative history Westerns, except that what we think we know about the American West is mostly fictional embellishment. The NPR review for Silver put it perfectly, "on the page it feels less like make-believe and more like walking in the wilderness of half-forgotten American legends."
