Everything I didn’t like about this book is explained by the fact that the author attended Naropa. There’s some patterns of expression used I feel are endemic of that institution. I’m never going to like that. But i loved the use of ecological, dimensional horror to explore the trauma and pain women experience in our society, and the effect it has on everyone, whether they’re aware of it or not. There’s a lot going on here. I will be recommending it, even if the people who read it will think I’m a little weird for having suggested it. I think it will be good for them.
