Review of 'Viridian Gate Online - Cataclysm' on 'Goodreads'

I only discovered the sub-genre of LitRPG when I started reading Wandering Inn and I discovered that I enjoy it a great deal. But it still took some huge sale posted on r/fantasy for me to purchase more. This book was part of a set containing the first three Viridian Gate Online books.
The story took off rather quickly. The general setting was briefly introduced and then we're off into the game. I really liked that, because after all that's what I wanted to read. From there on the story never wasted any time, it just kept going at a breakneck pace. Again, I quite enjoyed that. What I am not too big a fan of are the graphics with skill trees and stats and the detailed battle descriptions. That's something I don't really enjoy when playing RPGs too, so I guess it's just consistent. Nonetheless I could really enjoy …
