I am a heavy reader but mostly read SF, Fantasy and related genres. I am experimenting with BookWyrm as part of my fediverse journey.

Harry Turtledove: Case of the Toxic Spell Dump. (Undetermined language, 1994, Baen Books)

Fun, interesting take on magic in place of technology

This is one of the precursors to urban fantasy. It is an alt world where Magic and technology are both in existence though magic is prevalent. It is set in its version of LA and the protagonist is an inspector of the magical version of the EPA.

It is great fun and I always wished for a follow-up within this world.

Jack L. Chalker: Lilith (Paperback, 1981, Del Rey)

Chalker, am I right?

It's a Chalker book. If you are of the right age you know what you are getting into. This was a nostalgia read for me and was about what I remembered. I do miss my physical copy but I needed the space.
