This is probably literary blasphemy but honestly having read both the original and the ryan north penned graphic novel I think this is a bit better
The story is well-served by the format and they judiciously remove some of the casual misogyny that's actively distracting
I've read the original novel and this was a recommendation. It's beautifully made and renders the tragic very well.
As beautiful, haunting, funny, and brutal as the original novel. The art is amazing, and complements the story perfectly.
