(I somehow got in my records on Good reads that I had previously finished the book, but that's untrue! Yes, it truly did take me two months to read; better vision would definitely have helped.
It is a good book, except that the subplot, which actually started at the very beginning of the book but was primarily chapter 8 or so (?), was totally irrelevant to the majority the book and consequently entirely unnecessary!
The actual murderer was unexpected and probably not overly satisfactory. Well, at least not to me it wasn't. But I like the development of personalities! They were, for the most part, believable and comforting. I really would like the story to continue to tamp down some uncomfortable or unknown endings of relationships and situations. Sigh. Well, it's conceivable that future books in the series will address some of it…
