A few years back I read this story as part of The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories. Some details from that collection are still bright in my memory, but much of this story had faded.
It's a lovely read, wistful and touching the way many of Liu's stories are. Definitely worth a re-read on its own. So much feeling in so few words.
