I like the way he thinks about things. They're actually his thoughts and not those he heard elsewhere or (worse) had written for him. And he communicates them simply and interestingingly (is that a word?) I even read the acknowledgments and didn't feel they were there because he was paying a debt. He really wanted to acknowledge! He cares about things, which is the most dangerous thing a person can do these days.
