Sourdough

I kept expecting this to get more interesting or science-fictiony but it was pretty slow. Like a short story expanded to a novella and even the novella was too long. Kinda interesting discussions on the edges about what happens after robots take labor and people don't have that to trade on anymore. But that was about it.

I wasn't sure about this when I first started it, but then it got better, and then it kind of fizzled at the very end. Almost like the starter died.

Robin Sloan builds amazing worlds

I loved the Penumbra stories, and this takes place in a similar, but different world. Such a fun tale, I thoroughly enjoyed it and heartily recommend it to anyone.
