AliCorbin reviewed Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
Review of 'Devil in the White City' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
Amazingly, we were evenly divided between men and women. We were likewise also divided between those who liked the juxtaposition between Barnham and Holmes, and those who thought the relationship between the two men artificial and distracting. We all agreed that we had learned a great deal about Chicago and the World's Fair from the book, and that Larson was pushing for the sensational. (And some thought that he had pushed a bit too far into the arena of fiction.)
