"Fisher's intimate and revealing recollection of what happened on one of the most famous film sets of all time--the first Star Wars movie--and what developed behind the scenes"--

Review of 'The Princess Diarist' on 'Goodreads'

Pick up the audiobook, as it's read by Carrie Fisher herself, but then prepare yourself for a few lumps in the throats as you listen and remember she's not with us any more. A remarkable memoir by a remarkable lady with a very down to earth view of the transience of fame, beauty, and time.

Review of 'The Princess Diarist' on 'Goodreads'

My main gripe was that this was such a short book. While the revelation that "Carrison" was a thing, it for me, was probably the least interesting bit. That Carrie Fisher was something of a poet, that was something. Hearing about the post episode 4 press junkets was fascinating too, and how that morphed 40 years later into the convention scene and the "lap dances" (aka signing things for money) and how kindly she looked on her fans, on the fans of Star Wars... I am sad that she's no longer with us to share more of her wit.
