I needed something different after the last in the Ice and Fire series. Something fast paced and exciting, something that would make up for the anti-climatic finale of Feast of Crows. Colonel-Commissar Gaunt was just the answer. This was a really good read, what more needs to be said? Dan Abnett is the reason I love Warhammer 40k so much.
