"...He was afraid he might pull his friend into a relieved embrace, so he stood like a hypnotist with his hands hovering: you're getting sleeeeepy."
LMAOThis was a fun, m/m romance with many LOL moments yet there was some seriousness in it too. Griff and Dante grew up together, Dante the younger irritating kid brother of a high school friend. When his friend moves away, the family that had adopted Griff stays and Dante, a year younger becomes more and more the best friend. We get the turmoil that both went through during 9-11 and get how much Griff cares for him when he finds him alive. Ten years later and they are best friends, they been through a lot and some of it is told in past thoughts. Griff is realizing that he has an attraction to Dante that is becoming hard to hide. Throughout the book he is trying to hide this even when it becomes obvious. At that point I started feeling like it was just drawn out to get to them admitting... anything, everything, something. They literally talk around it forever. Once they do get together it is hot but... Dante's personality seems to take a 180° and instead of the jokester we get a pit-bull jealous boyfriend. The couple of drawn out parts and then the change of personality made me knock this from being a great read. Still it is fun and anyone into the m/m contemporary romance, should put this on their TBR pile.
Such a cute book, with a guy that will do anything for his best friend - who he's secretly in love with. Very well written, developed, and paced.
