SEDUCED BY A PIRATE is a novella that is the companion story to THE UGLY DUCHESS. Unfortunately, I wish it had been the other way around as I quite enjoyed this story, while I hated THE UGLY DUCHESS. Even though SEDUCED BY A PIRATE is based on a plot device I don't enjoy-here, a bet between cousins to see who can bed their wife first-the actual story was a lot of fun, and I really liked Griffin and his Poppy. My biggest complaint about this novella is that I liked the characters so much I wanted the story to last longer.
SEDUCED BY A PIRATE features James' renowned witticism and is a really great way to spend a weekend.
