Thank You for Arguing, Third Edition

Thank You for Arguing intends to provide you a crash course, with vignettes of the author's life and pop-culture references, of rhetorical principles. I was surprised at how accessible Mr. Heinrichs' explanations of the various rhetorical tools.

That said, the vignettes become tedious. Thankfully, you can skip to the end of each chapter for a quick review of each of the rhetorical tools Mr. Heinricks discusses (although, admittedly, you miss out on a deeper discussion of each tool).

Overall, I'd recommend this as a starting point for developing your rhetorical prowess.
