Holy hell. The Truck is such a complete fucking sales disaster that he's getting a corrupt deal with the military to buy them as targets.

THE TESLA TRUCK IS SUCH A COMPLETE FAILURE THAT THEY'RE SELLING THEM TO THE MILITARY AS TARGETS FOR TARGET PRACTICE.

No doubt at full price or some shit. Gotta claw those losses back somehow.

eta: It's small numbers in this initial buy. I find "a few" and "two" given as numbers in different articles. But c'mon. This is how it starts, right?

6,000 Patents Hidden By The Government | U.S. Invention Secrecy Act

Short video: https://octade.net/urls/6000_patents.html

In 1998, Stanley Meyer claimed to invent a car that ran on water. Days later, he was dead—and his invention disappeared. But Meyer wasn't the only one. There’s a federal law, still active today, that allows the U.S. government to classify and bury private inventions deemed a “threat.” It's called the Invention Secrecy Act—and it's already been used over 6,000 times.

From Nikola Tesla’s wireless energy to Townsend Brown’s anti-gravity tech to Joseph Papp’s engine that ran on noble gases, history is littered with breakthrough inventors who vanished into obscurity... and whose technologies never made it to the public.

This episode uncovers the case studies, the hidden power of secrecy orders, and the chilling question: What else have they buried?

I made a submission this week to the Treasury of the Australian Government on the right to repair in the age of Tesla https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5379231

The Australian Treasurer Hon. Jim Chalmers has been promising to expand the right to repair - it will be interesting to see what emerges in this policy space.

The Guardian: ‘We got a lot of honks in solidarity’: anti-Musk protests ripple at LA’s Tesla Diner

Demonstrators say diner ‘great for anti-Tesla protesters’ – but Musk fans and curious tourists have also stopped by

"...Elon Musk’s “retro-futuristic” Tesla Diner in Hollywood has become a new flashpoint for the “Tesla Takedown” movement, with dozens of protesters picketing the diner last weekend alongside inflatable tube figures of Musk performing a Nazi salute...."
