Helen Thomson reports on how researchers are finding that walking in nature can be deeply healing both mentally and physically. She writes,

“My dad had printed out the Web site for this conversion therapist in Colorado Springs, and immediately I could tell it was quackery,” Yang said. “But I did not have the conviction of thinking, I’m going to be a gay man and suffer through that. I was, like, You know what? Sure. Maybe I am this malleable thing.” Part of him just wanted to make his parents stop crying. He agreed to go.
