Mais quel âne !

J’ai quelques dans ma et je n’ai que trop tardé à les ouvrir.

Son « De bons présages » (cosigné avec Gaiman) est divinement barré et diaboliquement addictif ! C’est mon et je le recommande pour le vôtre.

J’en regretterais presque ma résiliation Prime. Presque, car les livres sont toujours meilleurs, selon moi : on n’est pas limité par l’imagination du réalisateur.

Made my way through my first Discworld novel, Mort, and I really enjoyed it. Casual read that could easily be put down and picked up again. Nice amount of absurdity. The stand alone nature of the story was refreshing. At the same time knowing it's part of a greater wholemade finishing it not sad.

Went with Mort as it was the first in Death's sub-series and I enjoy tales about concepts personified. Helps keeping it absurd.

For the occasion, I looked for the most British photo possible and I couldn't find anything better than Tiffany Aching, one of my favorite Pratchett characters, in the rain. Yes, it's a cliché, and no, I'm not ashamed. :)

Myself cosplaying with a black "midnight inspired outfit" the witch Tiffany Aching, one of Pratchett characters, holding an black umbrella under the rain.

I was passed a signed first? edition of a book today because it's original owner had died, their daughter didn't want it but wanted someone who would be chuffed by it to have it and my wife had mentioned in passing that she had made a shelf for my full Discworld collection which apparently means I'm the kind of guy who should have it.

Which is nice all round if you ask me.

Die Fortsetzung von "Ab die Post" beschäftigt sich mit dem Bankwesen und seinen Auswüchsen. Natürlich auf die übliche, amüsante Weise von Terry Pratchett. Nicht umwerfend komisch und nicht mit dem Reiz der durch einen neuen Protagonisten entstand aber trotzdem gut.

GNU Terry Pratchett. 10 years gone but never forgotten. Looking around this corner of the internet I see people starting their Discworld journeys for the first time. I see long time readers finding each other. I see friends who started as fellow fans. He changed so many lives. Thank you Terry. I'll raise a toast today on your birthday. A man is not dead while is name is still spoken, or until the ripples he left in the world fade.
