I was reading Terry Pratchett last night and realised he had predicted the rise of Large Language Models like ChatGPT. In "Going Postal", Ladislav Pelc, D.M.Phil, Prehumous Professor of Morbid Bibliomancy, wrote a whole chapter on "...oh, something to do with big masses of writing thinking for themselves."
