A great book for a debut!! I saw other readers leave some negative reviews because they did not like the characters or found it flat but I picked this up for an easy, breezy read and I got exactly that. Jolene is not a likeable character. Shes an asshole and rather grumpy but these people exist. People exist of all sorts of varying degrees of emotional intelligence and maturity. I enjoyed the story, the characters and the outcome. I found it worth the read to the end and thoroughly enjoyed Jolene's journey into healing as well as development.
