Interesting easy read
Enjoyable story, likeable characters, and love the historic descriptions of life in the Victorian era. I'll be reading her other books.

It took me there
Well-written and compelling, this true story completes the little picture of what happened during the years of the Nazi Third Reich. We have, and have had, the big picture; 6million Jews, 4 million gypsies, Christians, homosexuals, and dissidents all murdered by the Nazis. This story, this history, paints the bleak details of the worst the humanity can offer, and shows how the best of humanity can shine above it.
As I read this book, in my warm home, and comfortable bed, I was almost able to imagine this world that happened not so very long ago. I might have been able to do so, if I had tried. But I didn't want to try. It was too horrible.
