Started reading Wicked recently without having seen or knowing anything about the Musical. I gotta say, quite interesting... I cannot for the life of me tell where this is headed.

Idk I heard someone on mastodon mention it, worth giving a shot!

Though it could and deserved to be much, much gayer; it was very enjoyable. Besides the out of nowhere classist and racist remarks very obviously shoehorned in by the author that didn't even affect the story and we're completely unnecessary, it presented the kind of queer relationship you develop as a child, innocent but passionate and desperate almost. And that definitely made my heart race like the good old days.

Να πω την αλήθεια δεν έχω διαβάσει ολόκληρο το βιβλίο για να έχω μια άποψη για την ιστορία αλλά μπορεί λόγω της ηλικίας μου, μπορεί λόγω προσωπικού μου γούστου, αλλά η αναγνωστική εμπειρία ήταν ανυπόφορη. Τόσο κριντζ χρήση λεξιλογίου και εκφράσεων έχω ξαναδιαβάσει μόνο σε ειρωνικά χιουμοριστικά κείμενα, αλλά εδώ για κάποιον λόγο δεν μου ερχόταν να γελάσω.

Such a beautifully written and captivatingly intimate work. I was so entranced and obsessed, I finished it in two days!

If you're a fan of historical tragic romance -and even if you aren't- this is THE book to read
