Scrappy Little Nobody is a collection of stories, of sorts. There isn't necessarily a red thread through the book but more a "oh, I just remembered, I absolutely have to tell you this" vibe. I read the audio book, or more correctly, the author read it to me. I love books read by the author, as there is finally closure about the "what did the author want to tell us?"-question. She just told you!
I actually love (celebrity) memoirs best if I have no idea, who that person is supposed to be, and it worked wonderfully, again. I have seen Into the Woods and I loved it, but other than that I had no idea who Anna Kendrick was. I loved her writing, it was really funny and down to earth. All in all an entertaining look into the life of an almost normal twenty-something. I guess.
