Lady Smoke : 4 stars


First of all the cover is actually gorgeous!!

So this series is quite basic YA fantasy on the outside, nothing out of the ordinary here, but the characters and plot are still interesting.
Sure the characters act like "normal" teenagers sometimes, but they also are mature and the political aspect is well developed, Soren for one is a character that I thought had a lot of cool quotes.

The main character, Theodosia, is not one for "physical" fights, she's very resilient and strong "inside", and she's a very cool queen in this one.

The friendship in this book is even more present than the last (that I remember lol), it is very nice to read about all these characters and the different relationships btw them and of course there is romance ahah I will just say that it is not proeminent and done quite well^^

Also, I didn't feel like it was 500 pages ?? It flew by quickly
