This book introduces us to Rincewind the Wizard, a bumbling, inept wizard who stumbles his way through being a forced tourguide for Twoflower, a naive, trusting visitor from a foreign land.

The main plot takes a back seat to the comedy, and it is quite funny. Still it becomes a bit too random for my tastes through the middle. Some of the humour comes from the silly nature of the plot, but I often found myself confused and/or rolling my eyes.
