I have complicated feelings about this book. On one hand, I am glad I read Best Friends Exorcism first, because I might not have continued with this author had this been my first book. It was a powerful book, and the ending was extremely so... but I can't say that I necessarily think it is the sort of book that I regularly want to read. I feel like I have complicated enough thoughts about it to maybe write a blog post at some point.

Really great. Has a very what if Judy Blume wrote horror novels vibe to it. As a child of this timeframe, it was a nostalgic trip. The characters specifically reminded me of two friends of mine from that era. Makes me wonder if they actually keep in touch anymore.

This was an interesting dive into a lot of information that I already knew, but it was nice seeing it laid out in a single narrative. I felt some feelings as it talked about events that I intimately saw from the lens of a player, blogger, and general gaming pundit. Some truly gross episodes are cataloged, and there is a heck of a lot of hubris. I miss feeling damaged joy towards Blizzard games.
