Review of 'Eleanor & Park' on 'Goodreads'

Wow! This book is hard to rate and review. It really brought me back to 1986. Granted, I would be younger than E & P, but still. I could see it played out in my neighborhood, in my mind. I was prepared to not feel for this and not let it change me. I couldn't help it I was sucked in.

Great writing! Some very hard issues here. To try to say "I would change this or that" would change how it made you feel. At one point Park says the way that Eleanor dressed was art. Well that is what Rainbow Rowell did here. She created art. It's undeniable. Depending on your taste you may or may not like it.

I would have given it five stars if it made me feel happier throughout instead of stressed and heart-wrenched.
