Eli reviewed No country for old men by Cormac McCarthy

Having seen the movie not too long ago, the book played out very similarly in my head whilst reading this book. The book felt very dry and perhaps sceptical or pessimistic when told by some characters.
The lengths one can go to for money and also the killer, his strengths, skills, determination and clear morals were ones that I hope never to encounter in real life. Terrifying way to look at life.
I did enjoy those ponderings on how life has changed and some confessions of mistakes in youthood that show the change of perspective over time and the baggage the characters had.
