A tender story that moves lightly between contemporary short story and the feel of a fairy-tale, Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran is about the boy Moise, also called Momo, who finds a father figure in the old storekeeper Ibrahim. The entire story is told through the eyes of Momo himself as he tries to make sense of the world around him. This short narrative is also a meditation on religion and faith. Well worth reading.
