Bonus points for having an asexual main character, even if that only becomes apparent halfway through the book. Points taken away for, well, the ending. I'm not going to spoil anything here, I'll just say the ending felt rushed and not satisfying. Like, it could have been fleshed out more.

...lots of cliché, lots of references to previous novel, - though the plot stands alone, the main characters' relationships to each other are apparently defined in the earlier plot (?). The characters feel flat. Also, a sprinkling of typos throughout the book.
