I've been missing this kind of epic fantasy for a while now. The setting is quite unique considering the genre, characters are pretty well written, exposition on both the characters and the mythos is cleverly delivered throughout the whole narrative and all things considered it's pretty easy to read. Will try to get a couple of other books from my backlog done and then jump into the second book in the series as soon as I can for sure.
