Long time ago that I read a book that I had to put away every now and then because it did so much to me emotionally. It's not a happy story but that doesn't make the book any less.

Unfortunately I can't give it zero stars. Extremely predictable story (that's why I didn't bother to read the other two books) . Very poorly written, in the style of a sub-average primary school child. Apart from the sometimes arousing intermezzos absolutely not worth reading. I do not really understand why it became so popular. If you want to read about relationships there are better books. If you want to read arousing, erotic books there are better books and if you want to read porn... Well I'm not familiar with that but I guess there are better books for that too.

Not the best Murakami I've read. Well written as always but the plot and story were not my cup of tea. Not well rounded in my opinion,I prefer a story with a les open end.

Very good thriller, gripping story. Does not completely manage to create the atmosphere that was in the original Millennium trilogy yet definitely highly recommended to read.
